Three Opal rings being held between a thumb and a forefinger

A/W 2023 Jewellery Trends

Whilst we’re big believers at JGHQ that jewellery should be timeless and last more than one season sometimes it is nice to have a look towards the runways and discover what is set to be ‘in’ this season. From here you can have a look in your jewellery box and see if there is anything that you have that fits the trend or maybe add something to your collection that fits with the trend but still has a timeless quality to it..

Minimalist Jewellery

To go along with the quiet luxury trend that is sweeping the fashion world, designers also took a more paired-back approach with their jewellery. Think slim chains, discreet diamonds and thin gold bands.

Say it with your chest

Brooches were a must-have piece of jewellery in the 19th and 20th centuries but have slowly declined in popularity. Many brooches have been changed into necklaces to suit the new trends. However, designers were adorning beautiful coats with brooches to add more interest to silhouettes. Our top tip for buying an antique brooch would be to look for ones that convert into a necklace giving you the versatility to wear the piece in two different ways.

Put it on your body

Whilst body jewellery may feel like more of a summer trend, we saw this type of jewellery adorning the models across the A/W23 runways. If you don’t feel quite ready to invest in a body chain, we recommend connecting two of your longest chains together and wrapping this around your waist. This can help you take part in the trend without having the make the full investment.
